Facility Rules

The MICA is free to use by all members laboratories of the Center for Vascular Biology. All other users must contact the administrator in advance of any potential use.
Users must receive training on the microscope prior to use. Only training from the appropriate staff is acceptable. If you have not had instruction, you must arrange a training session prior to reserving time.
Users may reserve one time slot in advance by contacting the administrator.
Reservations are limited to three hours in duration except in the case of MICA where live cell experiments may be booked for a longer period.
If you are unable to use the microscope during the time that you have reserved, please let the administrator know in advance
Users must clean the microscope and dispose of garbage when finished. The user is responsible for shutting the system down.
As per BIDMC rules, absolutely NO food or drink is allowed in the microscope room.
The computers are for temporary image storage. All image files must be removed from the computer hard drive when you have completed your imaging session. Files left on the hard drive will not be backed up.
